In today's Behind the Headline segment where we profile leading Muslim personalities in South Africa during the month of Ramadan, we speak to Ahmed Munzoor Shaik Emam, MP for the National Freedom Party. He was a member of the Action Committee to Stop Evictions (ACTSTOP) in Johannesburg as well as member of the UDF pre-1994. He has held many positions in different community organisations, including chairperson of the Crisis Careline school governing bodies, body corporate and providing legal assistance. He was the member of the Inkatha Freedom party before he joined the NFP.
