Ayesha Bibi Dawood rose to prominence as a struggle activist in Worcester, Western Cape, and was one of the leaders charged in the 1956 Treason Trial. Sadly, she has passed over the weekend. Ayesha Bibi was an accused along with Nelson Mandela and 153 others in the infamous 1956 Treason Trial. Online, we have writer, journalist, author and anti-apartheid activist, Zubeida Jaffer.
