The City of Cape Town initiated a process for the public to comment on the amendment to the streets, public places, and prevention of noise nuisance’s by-law. The Amendment seeks to enhance the powers of authorised officials by allowing them to remove homeless people from public places and impound their personal belongings. Now Ndifuna Ukwazi has come forward sating that they oppose the proposed Amendment to the By-Law.
