One South Africa Movement leader Mmusi Maimane has welcomed the closure of schools following the spike of coronavirus in the country.

Maimane has been the voice behind the call to close schools when he took the Basic Education Department to court.

Last night president Ramaphosa announced schools will close for four weeks.
