Court rules against CoCT in evictions battle

The Western Cape High court has ruled against the City of Cape Town in a judgement prohibiting the city from conducting evictions and demolitions of occupied and unoccupied structures without judicial oversight.
According to the City of Cape Town, there have been more than 100 separate land invasions incidents recorded since July 1.
