Review of ANC NEC meeting: sparks fly, gloves off

ANC President Ramaphosa seems to be going for broke and is putting party unity aside to face his opposition head-on. At the NEC press briefing on Monday August 31st it was revealed that ANC members who are formally charged with corruption must step aside until such charges have been fully ventilated.The president said guidelines would be developed on members doing business with the state. Ramaphosa said the NEC endorsed the letter he had written to members on corruption, also deciding that those who face allegations of wrongdoing would have to step down from their positions.
