
Jordan detains cartoonist over Israeli-UAE satirical cartoon

Human Rights Watch (HRW) has urged the Jordanian authorities to release and drop charges against Emad Hajjaj, a cartoonist who published a satirical cartoon about the Israeli- United Arab Emirates (UAE) diplomatic agreement.
Hajjaj, 53 is a prominent Jordanian cartoonist whose works have appeared in major daily newspapers for decades.
