Anger over insults hurled at Paarl Niqabi woman

The story of the 28-year-old Muslim woman in Niqab from Paarl who was allegedly physically and verbally attacked by a local resident is doing the rounds at the moment and there’s a lot of anger regarding this incident – particularly in the current climate where we see religious intolerance over the athaan. Western Cape police spokesperson Colonel André Traut confirmed that a case against the man has been opened at the Paarl police station.
The Paarl Muslim Jamaah met with the victim yesterday. Shaykh Zareer Moerat joins us now to give us the latest on that.
