Costly protection: Corruption in asylum system

A report by Lawyers for Human Rights has revealed that corruption is still rife at all stages of asylum processes in South Africa.

The report, that details of interview of about 263 asylum seekers and other migrants between August and December 2019, contained findings that corruption starts at the entry points.

So how costly is the protection of asylum seekers in South Africa?
