As detectives start to link the murder of Lieutenant Colonel Charles Kinnear to the link between corrupt police officers and the criminal underworld, this high-profile case has re-emphasised the problem of firearm corruption. Kinnear was a top detective with the Anti-Gang Unit and was assassinated outside his home in Bishop Lavis on 18th September.
