COSATU confirms strike on Wednesday

The COSATU programme of action to be held as from 5 – 7 October 2020 and will have the support of SADTU Western Cape according to the Provincial Executive Committee held on 2 October 2020. The union requested all Branches to mobilise membership to picket on the 5th & 6th October 2020 at their sites, before school and during lunch breaks in support of the COSATU purpose and focus against; Corruption, Job losses & Retrenchment, Gender Based Violence Gender Pay Gap and attacks on Collective Bargaining. On 7 October 2020, COSATU has planned a National stay away. COSATU Western Cape has planned a motorcade from the Langa Multipurpose Centre to Cape Town to start at 7am.
