Eskom to announce new CEO

In the wake of announcing that load shedding will start to happen sporadically across SA again, Eskom will announce the appointment of a new CEO "within weeks". Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown on Tuesday told a joint meeting of Parliament’s public enterprises and energy committees that the matter of filling the position was being dealt with urgently and a permanent CEO would be appointed by mid-August. The position has been vacant since the departure of Brian Dames in March.
