Advise for breastfeeding moms
Loading player...
From hadith we learn the importance of breastfeeding and the bonding process of mom and baby. Infants who do not receive breastmilk are likely to experience poorer health outcomes than breastfed infants; mothers who do not breastfeed increase their own health risks. We welcome in studio Carmen Beukes, nutrition co-ordinator for the City of Cape Town, at Alphen Clinic in Constantia, and Sophia Blouws breastfeeding peer counsellor co-ordinator for Southern & Western Sub-districts to tell us why it is so important to breastfeed infants.
