Oscar Trial: Final Arguments Submitted

Final arguments in the Oscar Pistorius murder trial got under way in the North Gauteng High Court this morning. Prosecutor Gerrie Nel opened the day's proceedings, setting out the State's case that Pistorius deliberately murdered his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine's Day last year. Pistorius has denied guilt, saying he thought she was an intruder about to open the door and attack him. The State contends he shot her during an argument.
