
RAF claims continue to pile up along with internal administrative challenges

Applications against the Road Accident Fund (RAF) and its apparent inability to honour its obligations towards road accident victims are piling up. Several matters are not only dominating the high court, but the issue of non-payments can also turn to the Constitutional Court. Last week, there was an article in the paper expressing the concerns by lawyers and medical practitioners who provide services to RAF victims – and they say the backlog of pay-outs is threatening their businesses and leaving victims destitute.
