World Aids day

The 1st of December marks world AIDS day which is an opportunity for every community to unite in the fight against HIV, show support for people living with HIV and remember those who have succumbed to the disease.

South Africa has been relentless in its mission to turn the HIV and AIDS epidemic around, there have also been many scientific advances in HIV treatment over the past 30 years that have helped people to better understand the virus, the University of Witwatersrand has also long been recognised as a global leader in HIV research contributing vast amount of knowledge in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
