Educating our community how to legally object to Liquor Outlets

We have been in undated various complaints about shebeens and liquor licence outlets opening in and around communities. People are in an uproar because they believe that an influx of liquor outlets will lead to more crime in their areas. This evening we focusing on this and we find out more. The proceedure that is necessary to obtain licence and how that information is relevant to issuing of licenses? We will also be focusing on what can be done to those who contravene their licensing agreements? To understand how relevant this information is we have Philip Bam from Grassy Park Community Policing Forum focusing on the criteria on how these liquor licences are issued to outlets. But to educate us on legality and further we have the Deputy Director: Advocacy and Stakeholders relations from Western Cape government and Liquor Authority, Phillip Prinsloo on the line..
