CAGE Africa has been launched as a branch of CAGE UK, in South Africa, as a response to the need for awareness of and action against human rights abuses that are taking place as a result of the "war on terror", on African soil. CAGE Africa will also be assisting the UK-based organisation Reprieve, with lawsuits appealing for the release of some of the remaining men and women held in Guantanamo Bay without trial, and their repatriation in South Africa. In aid of the launch, they have had Yvonne Ridley as guest speaker at the launch. She now joins us online..
