South Africa's oldest-ever Test cricketer Norman Gordon has died at age 103. The news was confirmed by his son, Brian. Gordon played five tests for South Africa and was a former Transvaal fast bowler. His long lifespan earned him the title of South Africa's oldest-ever Test match cricketer. Gordon was affectionately nicknamed 'Mobil' as he used handfuls of Vaseline to grease down his hair. Gordon's Test debut was against England in December 1938 which ended with figures of 7/162, including 5/103 in the first innings. Gordon's best figures were 6/61 and 3/86 during the second innings for Transvaal against Natal. He continued playing for Transvaal until the end of the 1948 to 1949 season.
