It was by far the most traumatising part of 2021.
COVID-19 pandemic aside, this year KZN was burning.
What started as a protest soon took a turn for the worse.
From buildings being brought to the ground to warehouses being emptied of all their contents, looters and rioters took over the province and for days, even weeks after they were done, we were still living on edge and in fear.
Now, a mere five months later, even though it feels like it's been five years since the riots took place, Stacey and J Sbu felt they had to reflect on one of the biggest events in recent history.
