Psychiatric order against alleged parliament arsonist set aside, called “unlawful”

The court order referring alleged parliament arsonist Zandile Mafe to Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital for 30 days of mental observation was set aside by the High Court in Cape Town on Tuesday afternoon. Mafe is to be released and detained at a normal correctional services facility pending his formal bail application.
