Mabuza defends his visit to Russia during question time at National Assembly

Deputy president David Mabuza appeared before the National Assembly on Thursday to answer questions from MPs on a variety of topics including the national Covid-19 vaccine rollout, problems facing Eskom, and concerns of military veterans. During the Eskom-related questions, to his surprise the deputy president was asked about his visit to Russia, which he emphasised was purely for medical reasons. Mabuza also provided information on the government's plans regarding the closure and repurposing of coal mines.
