Zodwa Wabantu on her calling and being a performer

What may seem like taboo in traditional constructs where conduct is concerned, to dancer and reality TV star Zodwa Wabantu it is just a job. Zodwa, who has openly accepted her ancestral calling, recently sparked debate after a video clip of her dancing at a gig with her beads on made the rounds.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Zodwa said as long as she is appeasing them (ancestors), she is OK, adding she wont take off her beads because of the job.“Anything I do it is taboo, it is extra.” Zodwa said she believes the work she does is not in any way hindering her calling.
