Justice cluster update on July unrest arrests and criminal cases

The justice, crime prevention and security (JCPS) cluster on Friday gave an update on progress made after the findings and recommendations of an expert panel on 2021's July riots. It was appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa. Defence minister Thandi Modise and minister of police Bheki Cele reported on the arrests and criminal cases against various perpetrators, including government officials.
