The Premier Soccer League is set for a welcome return to Bloemfontein for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.
There are no PSL teams in the entire Free State after Bloemfontein Celtic sold it’s status to Royal AM at the beginning of the 2021/22 season.
This has left thousands of loyal Phunya Sele Sele supporters without at team to support and this left a very bitter taste in not just the province, but also in South Africa.
In a new development, the Polokwane-based PSL side, Marumo Gallants, is set to relocated to Bloemfontein for the remainder of the season, and from the 2023/24 season the club will be rebranded to fall in line with a Celtic related name.
