She is a passionate young woman that strives to represent her country with her impeccable hockey skills and is big on youth development and empowering other young women in sport.

Onthatile Zulu is without a shadow of doubt the golden girl of the South African national field hockey.

She recently became the first female Red Bull Athlete in South Africa.

Born and bred in Pretoria at the turn of the new millennium (2000), she started playing hockey at the tender age of six. In 2019, she enrolled at the University of Pretoria and a year later, she earned her first national team call up in a qualifying event for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Stellenbosch, of which she made the cut for.

What a future she has ahead of her and hey, what an absolute pleasure to chat to her.
