U/17 League conversation with SAFA

We all grew up knowing and admiring the unbelievable talents from this part of the country. Big name players and big teams from Mpumalanga. Sadly over the years, we have seen a decline in talent identification as far as this province is concerned. Well the good Samaritans have seen it befitting to unearth talent from there and hey, what a welcome initiative as Mpumalanga gears up to churn out quality football players and expose latent talent through its recently launched Under-17 league. The fully sponsored league is arguably the first of its kind in the country, and it seems a fitting initiative to launch the structure in a province that has long been thought of as the backwater of local football. Mpumalanga last had a professional team rooted in the province in the 2021/22 season, when NFD side TS Sporting were relegated.
