PM recently spoke to one of the top Boran breeders, from Ladybrand in the Free State

Quentin De Bruyn, is a top Boran cattle breeder from Ladybrand in the Free State and was again honoured for his achievements at last weekend’s national auction and annual prize-giving of the Boran Cattle breeders society. De Bruyn shares his success story and says his award is purely from the performance of his cattle, but that managing the herd also plays an important role. He says the breed adapts very well to South African conditions, resisting diseases and is low maintenance.
