'Parliament fire could have been prevented' — Parliament secretary

It has been a year since parliament commissioned an internal investigation into the fire that gutted buildings in the parliamentary precinct in Cape Town on January 2 2021 and burned for three days. Zandile Mafe is facing criminal charges related to the fire. On Wednesday parliament secretary Xolile George released the investigation findings.He said the investigation found the fire could have been prevented if more care had been taken to limit vulnerabilities.
