Electricity minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says in the short term the load-shedding outlook is “upbeat”. He provided an update to the media on Thursday morning on the country's electricity grid. Ramokgopa says South Africans can't celebrate an end to load-shedding just yet as most businesses and industries are closed for the festive season. The country is experiencing much lower demand during this period while unplanned outages are also below 12,500MW.
