Barbara has a PHD in animal demography and has been mentored by Susan Garrett, a master in canine behaviour and training. She is a life long student in a field that is constantly evolving. Her journey into dog training is not just a profession; it's a calling that harmonises perfectly with her strong belief in the Buddhist principles of compassion, interdependence, and mindful action.

Barbara has lived in Germany, Namibia, South Africa, and Canada . She runs Namib Dog Training a Walvis Bay based dog training business and is also part of select group of coaches working at DogsThat.com an international online dog training company.
