Fresh Squeeze | Bottled water added to crèche 'stationery' list in Hammanskraal amid water issues

The water crisis in Hammanskraal has led to some daycare owners including bottled drinking water as one of the quarterly stationery requirements so that the children can always drink clean water. This sparked a whole new conversation about some things that daycare centres ask for- that parents just feel like are outrageous and should be included in the fees. Parents said that things like wipes, tissues and drinking water- should be included in fees because of how expensive creche is. Mpho Mashita and Complexion talk to Arno Van De Merwe from the South African Childcare Association about why parents need to cooperate with creche's requirements.
