‘Voting is for every human’: Lamola on prisoners making their marks

Minister of justice and correctional services Ronald Lomalo says prisoners have a right to participate in elections as voting is for everyone, including those behind bars — despite public perception that prisoners should be disenfranchised from voting. Lamola was speaking to the media at the Kgosi Mampuru correctional services centre in Pretoria, where prisoners cast their votes on Wednesday.
