The Tops@Lifestyle Gin of the Week

Lifestyle TOPS in Ballito, in collaboration with Durban’s Distillery 031, officially launched their D’Urban Lifestyle Gin to a small group of media and customers in the intimacy of the beautifully designed and curated Gin Room of their liquor store in Lifestyle Centre.

Exclusively produced by Distillery 031 for Lifestyle TOPS in Ballito, D’Urban Lifestyle Gin is inspired by the Dolphin Coast of Kwa Zulu Natal. This unique region enjoys wide, unspoilt beaches. Lush sub- tropical vegetation. Summer all year round. Warm climate and people. The ultimate quality of life.

As pioneers in the craft spirits industry and South Africa’s most internationally awarded independent distillery, Distillery 031 has crafted this hyper local, limited-edition gin. According to Master Distiller, Andrew Rall, “D’Urban Lifestyle Gin has lighter juniper notes than the more classic, dry gins and taps into orange and citrus flavour profiles, making it exceptionally drinkable. Unique to D’Urban Lifestyle Gin is the inclusion of both bitter and sweet orange peels. These two botanicals are individually distilled to add subtle natural orange/citrus flavour to the gin, with no artificial flavours or colourants.”

Lifestyle TOPS Store Manager, Avinash Nundkisun, is understandably excited about this exclusive product, the first collaboration between an established gin brand and a liquor retailer in South Africa. “What a pleasure it has been to work with Distillery 031 on crafting this unique gin,” he says. “They really are experts in their field and the development of this product, inspired by and made for the KZN North Coast customer, has been amazing. We truly hope that when customers open a bottle of this premium, small-batch D’Urban Lifestyle Gin, they will open the essence of the KZN North Coast lifestyle.”

D’Urban Lifestyle Gin will be perfectly served at restaurants in Lifestyle Centre and is available for purchase exclusively from TOPS at SPAR, Lifestyle Centre, Ballito.
