The tourism minister, Patricia de Lille, has welcomed the finalisation of the White Paper on the Development and Promotion of Tourism in South Africa.
The tourism department published the White Paper in Government Gazette 51354 for implementation on 4 October 2024.The Green Paper on the Development of Tourism in South Africa was published for comment in Gazette 49223 in September 2023. Cabinet gave the green light to the White Paper in September 2024.
