Interview with Founder of Heavenly Haven, Jolindy Dreyer

“At Heavenly Haven we believe that the time has come to stop talking about everything that is wrong in this world and to start doing something about it. There is no someone else, there is only every one of us. Although clothing and food parcels are handed out regularly to sustain our impoverished community, individuals are encouraged to sign on to the skills program, so that they can eventually become independent.”

Heavenly Haven is involved in some exciting projects this year, and has an even more exciting year planned for 2025!

Their 2024 highlights are the community swimming pool we repaired in Burgersdorp with Lottoland's assistance, the million cloth masks from Bidvest that are arriving this week for our #masks2pads initiative driven by GoDiva, and the planned skills center that is taking shape.

I spoke to the Founder of Heavenly Haven, Jolindy Dreyer, who shares her 30-year journey starting Heavenly Haven, and some of the initiatives that they are busy with.
