The South African men’s team have won the bronze medal at the 2025 FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup in Croatia.
While South Africa lost 6-1 to Germany in the semi-finals on Saturday, they bounced back yesterday with a 6-5 win against Belgium in the bronze final.
South Africa's stalwart Mustaphaa Cassiem scored a hat-trick of goals, while his brother and captain Dayaan Cassiem scored a brace, and Hans Neethling also got in on the action.
To further sweeten the deal for Mustaphaa Cassiem, he was named as the Player of the World Cup for his 17 goals in the tournament.
