The Free State allrounder, Miané Smit, is geared for her potential senior international debut during the Proteas Women’s tour to Sri Lanka.
South Africa will face Sri Lanka and India in a One-Day International Tri-Series in Colombo in preparation for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
The 20-year-old Smit is one of three uncapped players in the squad, albeit she was a traveling reserve during last year’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE.
Smit, who was named as Free State Cricket’s Women’s Player of the Year last week, told OFM Sport that she is excited and ready.
