AHF South Africa has been operational since 2002 and supports 61 facilities across multiple provinces, including KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, and Gauteng. The foundation works closely with the South African Department of Health and local governments to provide comprehensive HIV testing, treatment, and care services under the HIV, AIDS, STIs, and TB (HAST) framework. Ngambu Rambezi discusses AHF’s extensive efforts in delivering high-quality healthcare, training, mentoring, and community outreach programs aimed at improving health outcomes for over 260,000 clients in care as of December 2024. The foundation also runs initiatives like the Girls Act program, empowering young women and girls with sexual and reproductive health education and support to reduce HIV infections and unplanned pregnancies.
