In conversation with, Tshiamo Ramafi
Tshiamo is a master’s student specializing in Medical Anthropology. Her academic and advocacy work focuses on exploring how culture and health intersect, particularly in the lives of young Black women. She is passionate about unpacking the deep-rooted shame that many young women experience when making decisions about their bodies, which is often shaped by generational expectations and societal pressure.
Through her research, Tshiamo aims to encourage and empower women to reclaim bodily autonomy through education, self-awareness, and informed decision-making rooted in self-trust.
