Absa has delivered a strong set of interim results, with headline earnings up 17% and profit climbing 14%, powered by cost cuts, lower impairments, and a revamp under its new CEO, Kenny Fihla. Revenue rose to R56.5 billion, impairments dropped 14%, and return on equity edged up to 14.8%.
