In a letter sent to the ANC national office asking for permission to step aside from his duties, Limpopo ANC Chairperson Stan Mathabatha cites unethical behaviour that goes against the party values in relation to the conference of the Vhembe and Waterberg regions, however political commentator Mbhazima Shilowa told Nghamula Chauke that Mathabatha is coming across as factional because as a leader why would he single out only 2 regions whereas all 5 regional conferences were marred by grievances. Still on this, the ANC Youth League in Limpopo, through its chair Faith Sebopela, also communicated with Chauke and expressed its sadness over the decision taken by Mathabatha adding that the party is in its renewal process and does not expect this kind of behaviour.
