Despite Goliath’s intimidating size and armory, David faced him with just a sling and five smooth stones, trusting fully in God’s power and authority. David declared that he came "in the name of the Lord Almighty," showing that the battle was ultimately God’s, not his own. This spiritual reliance gave David boldness and confidence to defeat his enemy.
