Sibongile Mofokeng returns to studio alongside Mr. Michael Mathe SASSA Grant Administrator and they are talking about Child Grand Top Up. Child Support Grant Top Up has been introduced to assist relatives caring for orphans to provide for their basic needs. The purpose is to keep orphans within their extended family environment without removing them from familiar households. The Child Support Grant Top-Up is an additional financial benefit introduced by SASSA in June 2022 to help caregivers of orphans and vulnerable children. It builds on the standard Child Support Grant by providing extra money so that children can grow up in secure family environments rather than institutions
