The Toyota Cheetahs are gearing up to launch their 2026 SA Cup campaign on home soil in Bloemfontein, determined to hit the ground running and lay down an early marker.
Standing in their way first up are Hawies Fourie’s Boland Cavaliers - a side that enjoyed the upper hand over the Free Staters in both the SA Cup and Currie Cup last season. In the SA Cup, the Cavaliers stunned the Cheetahs with a convincing 45–29 victory at Boland Stadium in Wellington, before edging them 37–35 in a nail-biting Currie Cup clash.
Speaking to OFM Sport, Sekekete confirmed he will be ready for the SA Cup, admitting that while it was strange watching from the sidelines, the enforced break turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
