Why Do People Stay in Situationships?

You’re not “too much.” You might just be asking the wrong person. Wanting consistency, effort, and communication isn’t unrealistic. The right person won’t make you feel like your needs are a burden.

Being impressive might get attention. But being yourself builds connection. You don’t have to be more interesting, more “chill,” or more perfect. The right person will connect with the real version of you.

There’s a difference between effort… and the bare minimum. The bare minimum keeps things going. Effort builds something real. Effort is consistency. Effort is thoughtfulness. Effort is choosing someone — even when it’s not convenient. Don’t confuse attention with effort.

Choosing peace and avoiding conflict are not the same thing. Choosing peace = you’ve addressed it and let it go. Avoiding conflict = you stayed quiet, but it’s still bothering you.
