When cross-cultural workers stumble or experience severe burnout, how should the church respond? In this session of Fantastic Friday with Rocky Stevenson Pastor of Benoni Bible Church, we explore the reality of human frailty in global missions and the path to biblical restoration.
True restoration begins not with self-justification, but with brokenness and heart-level repentance as modeled in Psalm 51:1–12. Sending churches and leaders are then called to act with spiritual gentleness, mending fractured servants and bearing one another's heavy burdens as commanded in Galatians 6:1–2. Drawing from the life of John Mark (2 Timothy 4:11), this message demonstrates that taking a step back for sabbatical, counseling, and soul-care is often the very retreat needed before long-term fruitfulness. God delights in using mended vessels to accomplish His divine work.
