Gauteng Health admits medicine supply problems

Gauteng Health has confirmed medicine supply challenges at public health facilities but has not disclosed which medicines are affected or how many patients have been impacted. The department says the shortages are linked to factors including changes to medicine contracts, supplier delays, procurement lead times and wider pharmaceutical supply-chain pressures.
