The fascinating world of Guide Dogs will be discussed in this week’s edition of People of Note. Teagan Schwerin, the Marketing Manager for the Cape Town Branch of the SA Guide-Dogs Association will be talking to Rodney Trudgeon about how these remarkable dogs are bred and trained and eventually given to a blind person. But the dogs are also used for people who are physically disabled and for autistic children. The Society also helps to educate the community and individuals and they train and educate instructors as well as providing aftercare services.
