Agriculture MEC visits projects

Free State MEC of Agriculture and Rural Development, Oupa Khoabane, visited various projects supported by the department this week. This was to assess the progress of the agricultural projects throughout the province. According to a statement the department’s intervention in the projects aimed to improve productivity and help them to access markets. According to Khoabane, the each pf the projects spread throughout the province have been operating for a number of years and are at a production stage. The projects include Virginia Poultry, Africa Flowers, and Springfontein Small Stock. According to a statement, the department has erected a fence, cattle handling facilities, a shearing shed, and supplied veterinary equipment to the Springfontein Small Stock. - Nomaqhawe Mtebele
